From beginning with production lots manufactured in late November 2025, the upper openings of J‑Poval paper bags will be sewn using sewing thread only; the reinforcement thread will no longer be used since production and supply of that thread have been suspended since early November 2025 from the manufacture due to unforeseen accident and other manufactures’ available capacity is extremely limited, making procurement infeasible. Shipments of the revised product will commence progressively as existing inventory of the previous product is depleted. Please see the attached photographs for the appearance differences.

Test summary
- Preparation: Two paper bags were each filled with the specified net quantity of PVA (NET 20 kg): one bag constructed without the reinforcement thread and one with the reinforcement thread. The upper opening of each bag was covered with a plastic bag to collect any leaked powder.
- Setup: Each test bag was placed in a vibration bagging machine with the front (reinforcement‑thread side) facing up and the back (red‑thread side) facing down.
- Vibration: Strong, forced vibration was applied for a fixed period (several tens of minutes) to accelerate conditions that might cause powder leakage. The collected powder in the covering plastic bags was then inspected and weighed.
Results – Collected powder amounts: – Without reinforcement thread: 0.2 g – With reinforcement thread: 0.1 g
Conclusion
The test confirmed that omitting the reinforcement thread does not cause a significant increase in powder leakage compared with bags that include the reinforcement thread. Therefore, there will be no impact on product quality or on the declared net contents as a result of this change.
Notes and considerations
- The test intentionally placed PVA near the stitch holes to create a condition more likely to produce powder leakage. Under normal conditions (e.g., stacked on pallets), the amount of PVA contacting the stitch holes at bag tops is minimal; thus, the likelihood of powder leakage during regular transport and storage is considered low.
- The reinforcement thread had been used to help suppress leakage of PVA granules through stitch holes, but it does not completely prevent powder leakage.
- The reinforcement thread has never been used on the back side of the paper bag (red‑thread side).
